This non-fiction book is going to be an informative and detailed read, offering advice for new parents, or parents of new babies – and creating a path through the myriad of choices available for baby rearing in the 21st century.
Chapters will cover everything from Modern Cloth Nappies (MCNs- how the world has changed since terry flats), WAHMs (work at home mums), to extended breast-feeding, VBACS, water-births, co-sleeping, attachment parenting, baby led solids, traumatic births and loss of a baby (and where to find help), baby blues and bonding, and so very much more…
The Bohemian Baby is going to be different from other parenting books. It’s not going to cover the practical parenting advice that is already available in so many wonderful published guides, but rather it is going to focus on the less mainstream issues and choices, the things that much of the general parenting public may not be aware of, or the things that are not spoken of enough. It will look at how the choices we make in baby rearing can change and improve not only our own lives and that of our babies, but how they can impact others, and the world at large. How having babies can be coupled with sustainable living, and how we can all, as parents, tread lightly on this earth.
